Peconic Community School is currently seeking  creative, passionate, inquisitive candidates for the following openings:

  • Part Time Driver: Start date: September 4th, 2019. This position will provide private pick-up and drop-off for a small group of students each day that PCS is in session. This is an hourly position. Hours are approximately 7:30-9am and 3-4:30pm.

  • Development & Outreach Associate: This position will support the fundraising, events and outreach efforts for the school. This person will work approximately 25 hours per week and will report to one of the school’s co-directors.

     Responsibilities: include but are not limited to managing the school’s donor database, creating, editing and proofing digital and hard copy materials, including press releases, letters and newsletters to promote events, school news, or other outreach, drafting, editing and proof-reading letters and correspondence related to fundraising and outreach; preparing, overseeing and executing mailings for fundraising and outreach; developing and executing media outreach plan for events and school new; and assisting in the management of 2 annual school events, including the school’s annual summer fundraiser. This person will also research new prospects and funding opportunities, assist with initial outreach and cultivation of potential donors, as well as and assist with stewardship of existing donor base.

    Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree, excellent writing skills, strong interpersonal relations, knowledge of and comfort with social media, professionalism, strong attention to detail, sense of humor.
