PJ party fun with rocket straws, popsicle catapults, friendship flower, musical chairs, and more!
WOW! Cannot believe it has been so long since my last blog posting about the January 30 PJ party. The FA officers have been busy with the mid-winter dance and then planning for CREATE.
But we're back in PJ party and sports sampler mode, so stay tuned for all sorts of updates about and photos of those activities.
Last night, March 31, we hosted a terrific PJ party. Here's a list of the things that kept your offspring springing all night:
- Popsicle catapults
- Rocket straws
- Beaded bracelets and necklaces
- Making a friendship flower "bloom" on the floor
- Legos, Legos, Legos
- Musical chairs
- Foot races and cart races in the hallway
And, as always, we offered reading time in the library and a gentle, Common Sense Media-approved movie in the community room for the children who need some down time.
A special thank you goes to Elizabeth Hudson (mom of Myra in EC), to Rachel & Carl Byington (parents of Lydianna in LP), and to Lydianna's grandmother, Barbara, for helping host the party.
Check out the photos below to see your lovely children in action! I'm also attaching instructions for the popsicle catapults and straw rockets if you'd like try them at home.
