Welcome Home Ceremony in Cutchogue, January 6, 2024

Our Grand Opening Ceremony — moving into our new permanent home campus in downtown Cutchogue!

Here we are! It’s real! Thank you so much to all of the friends, family, supporters, neighbors and community members who joined us this morning to celebrate our much anticipated and incredibly joyful Cutchogue homecoming!

As our phenom of a Board Chair, Cindy Armine-Klein, said “this is truly a dream come true!” We could not be more grateful to the many, many people (over the many, many years we’ve been wishing, hoping and working to bring this dream into being) who have helped paved the way — stone by stone — to help us get here.

This is truly, truly a community effort and community achievement in every sense, both in what we’ve accomplished today and what we have planned for the future, and we’re so happy — thrilled! — to be on this journey with all of you. It is an honor and a privilege that we do not take lightly, and one that, along with the children in our midst and our mission to make the world a better place, brings us joy each and every day.

We’re simply thrilled to continue our work in this warm, beautiful and inspiring new space. Cutchogue — and particularly the Cutchogue New Suffolk Civic Association — thank you for the warm welcome to town: we can’t wait to create, discover, share and grow with you! We’re so grateful to the Shinnecock Nation for joining us this morning to acknowledge the roots of the ancestral land we’re entering and to bless our presence here. Many thanks to the Southold Town Board for joining us and supporting our mission, and to our own elected official, PCS Student Council President, Connor Searl, for speaking at this morning’s gathering. And, of course, thank you to our ceaselessly creative and devoted faculty and staff for transforming this space into the beautiful vision you see today, with help from so many parent volunteers, Anandham Landscaping, Richmond Realty and Hadley Wiggins Design, as well as the Sacred Heart Parish, all of whom have been instrumental in making today’s opening a reality.

And last, but most certainly not least, we’re incredibly indebted to and inspired by our Co-Founders and Co-Directors, Kathryn Casey Quigley and Liz Casey Searl and the Casey family for their vision, their spirit, their tenacity, their dedication and their love — all of their love — that they’ve devoted and shared over the past 12 years. Thanks to you, we’re home.🤍
