Field Work: Water Quality Testing with Peconic Baykeeper

Place-based learning at its absolute best — Fifth Graders were out in the field learning how to test water quality with @peconic.baykeeper! 🌊🧑‍🔬 Students got to work alongside a local water quality expert to learn to check temperature, pH, nitrate, phosphate and dissolved oxygen levels to measure water health and pollution levels.

Fifth graders will take these new skills back to the classroom as they continue to explore the challenges and possibilities for securing access to clean water for global communities. #UNSustainableDevelopmentGoals #Goal6CleanWaterandSanitation
