Preparing for Magic: The Day Before the Celebration of Learning

Students put the finishing touches on a trimester’s worth of study around the United Nation’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals leading up to the Celebration of Learning, December 14th.

The Celebration of Learning is chance for students to solidify and share what they’ve learned over the course of the trimester — the questions they began with, the insights they’ve gleaned, the connections they’ve made in the community during field research and the informed pledges they’ve made for future action — as they tour visitors through open classrooms and engage listeners in the story of our Integrated Studies Unit.

Each trimester’s Celebration of Learning is one of the most anticipated nights of the year — students are brimming with excitement to showcase and share the classrooms that they transform to document their learning: presentations, life-sized functioning models and walls of student-created documentation are the norm.

Check out the magic as students prepare for the favorite school night of the year!
